Quinta do Vallado Prima 2015
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalThis may surprise you: 100 percent moscatel galego, with vines up to 50 years old, from the Douro Valley. This delicate and floral white is the first picked by Vallado each harvest, with exuberant rose aromas narrowing on the lean, light (12.5 percent) palate, joined with lemon, lime oil and ample lime blossoms. This was fermented using a process called bica aberta, lasting for nearly one month and between 14-16C. A three month stint in stainless steel finishes off this fresh aromatic.
