Stonier Windmill Pinot Noir 2015

Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, AustraliaThe pioneering Stonier winery first planted in Mornington in 1978, though Windmill vineyard was planted in 1996. Ample whole bunch was utilized in this wine, yielding stony raspberry, forest berries, earthy, dark florals, wild thorns across a tightly knit and lifted palate. Acidity is bright and tight, and saline notes linger on the smokey bitter cherry finish. Savoury, earthy, overt style, but one that settles down very well with bottle age.Tasted: 09 February 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
