Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2014
Mendoza, ArgentinaOpaque in hue, this thick and dense Lujan de Cuyo malbec is filled with potent blackberry jam, balsamic vinegar and roasted coffee, and stunted with strident, assertive tannins. There's a floral line and thick tar cushion throughout but it appears to be a victim of this difficult cool vintage year in that it has lost its hedonistic jacket and appears slightly hollow or light through the mid-palate.
