Domaine Queylus Tradition Pinot Noir 2014

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaA classic pale cherry hue with inviting warm, ripe raspberry flecked with plums, tart cherry, forest floor and worn wood. The grapes from Lincoln Lakeshore and Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellations are grown organically, destemmed without crushing before wild yeast ferment and age in French oak (1/3 new) for 16-20 months. Perfumed raspberry and potpourri spices fills the nose, silky, black cherry fruit the entry while hard-grained wood provides a shell for the fruit. Tannins are fine and firmly gritty to a warming, astringent and highly-spiced finish. Youthful, this lean wine will yield with time. Best now with food. Good value. 1900 six-packs produced.Tasted: 18 May 2017Tasted by: Prices:
