Abbott's and Delaunay Chardonnay Les Fruits Sauvages 2015

Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceGrapes for this Pays d'Oc come from four terroirs: the Cévennes, the Aude valley, Limoux, and the Hérault. One third of the cuvée is fermented in oak barrels (new and one-year-old) before nine months ageing in barrels, on the lees with regular stirring. Rich, full and deep, with toast coating a dense core of stones, lemon pith and wood spicing. Quite warm on the finish, this welcomes richer dishes, perhaps involving hollandaise or cream sauces.Tasted: 13 June 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
