Beringer Luminus Oak Knoll Chardonnay 2014

Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe 2014 Luminus is a single vineyard chardonnay from Oak Knoll that comes off a little richer and a little fatter than previous efforts. It’s still a very good wine but losing that cool edge changes the style. Even if it's delicate, the textures are bigger and richer in 2014, with beautiful pear notes and more honeydew and oily notes on the back end of the palate. The finish is long and spicy with and undercurrent of nutty, orange flecks. Good value in a New World style, meant for crab, lobster or whole roasted chicken.Tasted: 13 June 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
