Blue Mountain Reserve Chardonnay

Blue Mountain Reserve Chardonnay 2014

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFive French clones and twenty-five-year-old Okanagan Falls vines make up this elegant Reserve Chardonnay. Forty percent was fermented and aged in stainless, with the remainder in French oak (new to 4th fill) for 11 months. The result is a vein of driving acidity to draw along the nutty, wooded, lees-led density. Structured green apple, crisp pear and lemon is seasoned with a brisk, crystalline lemon and nutmeg spicing. Serious juice. What I appreciate about this wine is that it has intensity and finesse and power, without being overt and vulgar, like many of its contemporaries. Drinking very well now, but will impress more with time in the bottle.Tasted: 12 June 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 29.95 winery direct, private wine shops AB 31.95 private wine shops Producer: Blue Mountain Vineyard & CellarsCSPC: 714956UPC: 626452351141
