Mendocino County, California, United StatesCertified organic fruit from Mendocino County opens with honeyed, leesy green apple and pears. Some 70 percent of the juice, resting in French and American oak, undergoes malolactic fermentation, giving the wine a creamy, soft, demeanour that will appeal to some but not all. Look for tropical fruits, citrus bits and a touch of crème brûlée. Solid if a bit predictable.
