Lions de Suduiraut 2009
Sauternes, Graves, Bordeaux, FranceDense, rich and direct, this a honeysuckle heady and richly perfumed Sauternes, with brown butter, marmalade, gingerbread on an expansive, round palate. Lions is the second wine of Suduiraut, and makes for a more direct, assessable (and yes, less elegant) wine than their classic Sauternes. That said, this is still a lovely pour, and a Sauternes for drinking now, rather than years from now.
