Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Series Pinot Noir 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSoft, salted plum and resinous black cherry on this downy pinot noir, sourced from the Black Sage Bench (Diamondback Vineyard) and Golden Mile Bench (Tinhorn Creek Vineyard). Eighteen months in neutral barrels on the lees, followed by one year in bottle has worn soft the tannins, leaving a wash of forest floor, moss, red currants, dried raspberry and finely smoked spices. A blink of cranberry tartness brightens briefly the finish, which lingers with dried florals. Smoked duck, charcuterie would be a natural pair.Tasted: 20 June 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
