Fort Berens Dry Riesling 2016

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaA new release from Fort Berens tagged at 4.6 g/l RS and 8 g/l TA as opposed to the 6.7 g/l RS and 7.6 g/l TA of their classic riesling. Estate Lillooet grapes were blended with fruit from Vernon and Similkameen, whole cluster pressed and fermented with a cocktail of different yeasts, stopped when the desired sweetness (for their 'dry') was reached. Lime leaf, lemon blossom and baked yellow apple. Acidity is high, though the finish is a touch sour candy - likely more about the yeast than the fruit. Sweet and sour, but bright on the finish, this is well suited to summer patios and light food duty.Tasted: 04 July 2017Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:
