Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaYou won't know the varietal make up of Blind Trust until you cut and peel the capsule, revealing the mix. This vintage is 44/34/19/3 merlot/malbec/cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc from Osoyoos and Naramata, with 15 months in French oak barrels, a quarter of which were new. Sweet, ripe and full bodied, with potent cassis, kirsch, blackberry jam and dusky peppery violet drawn across smoked charcoal and a full bodied palate. Tannins are plush, making this easy wine a welcoming pour now.
