Liber Farm & Winery Rosé 2016
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis brand new Similkameen winery, on the slopes overlooking Similkameen River and named for the Roman god of wine, focuses on small lot organic wines. Liber is one of the oldest organic farms in BC, dating back to the 1960’s. Seven acres were planted to chardonnay and merlot in 2007. This deep pale, punchy merlot saignée rosé streams along the palate with fine pink peppercorn spice, hints of thorny blackberry, strawberry jam and kirsch-kissed cherry.
