Summerhill Pyramid Winery Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDark, black raspberry, sarsaparilla and black plum fill this single vineyard pinot noir, from the Chandra Vineyard on No. 5 Road in Oliver. More structured that the blended 2013 pinot noir, this is a steal at only $27. Softly worn leather beds mulberry, black plum, kirsch and downy dark cherry. Tannins are toothsomely nubile and the finish fades softly into a warm, spicy, balsamic, cola-lined darkness. That warmth requires something to counter - think duck, or bourbon slicked pork ribs. How lovely to taste a pinot noir when it's ready for release, rather than when the winery needs to sell.Tasted: 22 August 2017Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:
