Bachelder Lowrey Vineyard 2014

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis single vineyard St. David's Bench pinot noir is some of the oldest pn vines in Niagara. The Lowrey Vineyard was once part of the Alliance project between Jaffelin (Burgundy) and Inniskillin. Native ferment and with 18 months in French oak (25 percent new), before a further eight months in bottle before release. Perfumed raspberry, sour cherry, with a salted raspberry core, this finessed and elegant wine, while still quite firm, has a welcoming fleshy centre, robed with silky tannins and autumnal spices. This youthful wine is showing very well now, but still has some baby fat to shed.Tasted: 10 October 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
