Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2015 is riding the warm, spicy, ripe wave that has overtaken this label since 2012. The vineyard block is one of the warmest sites in the Okanagan and that never hurts when you are trying to ripen cabernet sauvignon. Winemaker/grower Jason James’s style can be summed up as rich, and you can expect this wine to deliver. Always aromatic, the 2105 opens with savoury black fruit with a fine dusting of sage. The palate is still a bit rambunctious with bright acidity and some sticky tannins yet to be assimilated. This will improve in bottle through 2020 but you could enjoy it now with a fire grilled steak.Tasted: 12 October 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
