Domaine de Montille Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2013

Burgundy, FranceDomaine de Montille has farmed organically since 1995 and over the last twenty years the estate has morphed into a bio-dynamically farmed site that is certified "Ecocert Bio." The winery mantra is “We want to 'erase' the errors of 'progress'. Bourgogne Rouge doesn’t get a lot of love in Burgundy but at Domaine de Montille this simple, regional mix of fruit is all about purity. Slightly floral, perfectly earthy this silky soft red with some serious acidity won’t bowl you over with power but rather seduce you with red fruit and finesse. The secret, while not so secret, is whole clusters in the ferment and purchasing fruit that is sustainably farmed or in some cases on the road to organic viticulture. The fruit comes off from across the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise, the Mâconnais and Chablis. The 2013 is a cool, fresh vintage with an emphasis on elegance. There is no new oak here so this is a wonderful wine to reset your pinot noir tasting clock.Tasted: 10 October 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
