Synchromesh Cachola Family Vineyards Cabernet Franc Rosé 2016
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaYear two for this label and it’s a winner. Almost no colour is fine with us and winemaker Alan Dickinson, who prefers to take the emphasis off the colour of the wine and concentrate more on texture and aromatics. The ’16 seems fresher than the 2015, more linear with more focused acidity. The wine is intentionally picked earlier. It gets 7.5 hours of cold soak before it is whole cluster pressed and wild fermented to dryness. The finish is pleasantly earthy with an orange/saline finish.
