Navarra and Basque Country, SpainDried earth, dried cherry, raspberry runs along light, dusty tannins to a quickly faded finish. This is a blend of tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and merlot from three vineyards in Navarra that spent 14 months in wood (three quarters French and the remainder American). The fleshy generosity on the palate is hemmed in with some stern tannins and scented with chrysanthemums and a lick of mint.
