Herdade do Esporao Monte Velho Branco 2016

Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalThe Monte Velho line was started by Esporão in 1992 to provide an accessible, approachable and affordable everyday drinking wine, produced in the same philosophy and standards as their other wines. This is a blend of Antão Vaz, Perrum, Roupeiro from around the Alentejo and from long-term sustainably-farmed contract growers, produced entirely in stainless. Green melon, herbal lemon, white grapefruit, prickly pear, cherimoya on a medium bodied, lees-slicked palate, with toasted pine nuts to a snappy finish. Intriguingly streamline and supple, and a worthy match to oily fish.Tasted: 12 February 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
