Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate Pinot Noir 2016

Anderson Valley, Mendocino County, California, United StatesThe Navarro River cuts through Anderson Valley and over millennia it has carved a path for through the coastal mountains for the cold ocean wind and coastal fog (perfect for pinot) to flood in. This pinot is bright with active acidity, a dose of minerality and delicious silky black and red fruits with cool-climate shades. The finish is persistent with soft, smoky, toasted oak notes. Very Central Otago. Its easy to sip but will age through 2021. This 100 percent Anderson Valley AVA pinot noir is 80 percent Boone Ridge Vineyard, 12 percent Sable Mountain Vineyard and 8 percent Philo Vineyard. The clonal mix is interesting: 39% Clone 667, 6% Clone 777, 34% Clone 828 2% Clone 115 and 16% Clone 5 and 1.5% each Calera & 2A – it is all aged ten months in 100% French oak (28% new).Tasted: 21 February 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
