Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesA sea change in style here and it’s fun to see. A light to translucent pinot red colour greets you in the glass along with spicy, cedar, forest floor notes. The attack is silky and very spicy with a mix of earthy, twiggy, red fruit flavours and a much more ethereal pinot styling with a long, warm silky finish. It has the intensity of the Russian River but with restraint, and a touch less sweetness, giving it a far more complex finish.
