Chateau de Nages Vieilles Vignes 2015

Costières de Nîmes, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThis organic blend of roussanne, clairette, grenache blanc and bourboulenc is grown in the iron-rich clay soils of Costieres de Nimes. This blanc is half native fermented in old oak, with the rest fermented in concrete, where both remained for eight months on the lees. Yellow florals (acacia dominant) and yellow fruits (Bosc pear) fill this generous, expansive wine, with a sweep of wax and ample sprinkling of spices on the creamy palate. Vanilla lingers on the finish. This can take on richer foods, like sablefish, lobster, or heady pea risotto.Tasted: 05 April 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
