Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNow a product of older vines, this pinot has a subtle, laid-back style that doesn’t shout at you. The nose is a smoky, spicy affair, with black cherries dusted in sage. The texture is silky and perfectly weighted, if more on the drier, spicy, forest floor side than an exuberant, fruity story. The finish is firm and dry suggesting another year or two in bottle will help the tannins and the fruit better marry. Solid now and will get better. Serve with grilled pork chops or a mushroom pasta dish.Tasted: 05 April 2018Tasted by: Prices:
