Corte Pavone Brunello di Montalcino Fiore del Vento 2017

Tuscany, ItalyWinemaker Hayo Loacker, fueled by his love of Burgundy's vineyard system, has spent a decade observing the terroir and vines at Corte Pavone, hoping to produce several singular Brunello crus. Today, there are 7 individual single vineyard Brunello on the property, with blocks subjected to yearly selections, meaning the wines are constantly changing. As he says, the anemone (it. Fiore del Vento) feels and reacts to every little breeze. It is a delicate and sensitive flower, like the wine Fiore del Vento. In 2017, winter temperatures were above average, as was the summer. Rainfall at the correct times was essential. The colour is medium dark, the attack dense and full of red cherry and dark plum, and the acidity is perfect, keeping the wine vital as it travels across your palate. It is long and persistent but with a sense of Brunello elegance. This is an impressive red that will age effortlessly through 2035.Tasted: 09 December 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
