Sicily, ItalyFrom 3rd generation winemaker Vito Lauria, Vino Lauria is based in the northwest corner of Sicily, though fruit for this organic frappato comes from the eastern island's sandy soils, around 600-1000m. This was fermented and aged in stainless for 8 months, preserving the bright, fresh and floral plum, candied cherry, boysenberry on the medium palate, all framed with sticky tannins, and imbued with scrubby Mediterranean herbs and ample salinity.
